2023 Fantasy Outlook
Pierce started 12 of his 16 games as a second-round rookie last year and accounted for nearly as many deep targets (15) as every other Colts wideout combined (18). He caught seven of those for 243 yards and a TD, demonstrating his 4.41 speed at times, but managed only 350 yards on his 63 targets within 20 yards of the line of scrimmage. And while he'll soon play with strong-armed rookie Anthony Richardson -- possibly Week 1 -- it's unclear if Richardson has the accuracy or Pierce the route-running skills to turn it into a potent connection. The 6-3 wideout at least is in good position to retain a perimeter starting role across from Michael Pittman, as third-round rookie Josh Downs and free-agent signing Isaiah McKenzie mostly figure to compete for slot snaps. Held catchless in season finale
Pierce went without a reception on four targets in Saturday's 23-19 loss to the Texans.
ANALYSIS
Pierce was held without a catch for the second time this season in what has been an underwhelming campaign for the 23-year-old. In 17 games, the second-year wideout finished the season with 32 receptions for 514 yards and two touchdowns. Pierce remains under contract with the Colts through the 2025 season, so the speedster will look to continue to improve and grow in his role within the passing attack. The return of Anthony Richardson (shoulder) at quarterback in 2024 should help to make the offense more dynamic, boosting Pierce's big-play potential.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Could move into WR1 role Sunday
Pierce could move into the top wideout spot for Sunday's game against the Falcons after Michael Pittman was ruled after experiencing additional concussion symptoms Saturday, per Stephen Holder of ESPN.com.
ANALYSIS
Pierce tied Pittman with the most targets in the Colts' Week 15 win over the Steelers, with the latter exiting the first quarter after being hit in the head by safety Damontae Kazee. Pierce couldn't take advantage of those additional looks and finished with just one catch for 13 yards; however, he has five-plus targets in three of his last four games and could be used prominently in two-wideout sets with Josh Downs. Pierce has 28 catches on 53 targets for 426 yards and a touchdown over 14 games this season.

2022 Fantasy Outlook
While he never had huge stats in college, Pierce was a three-year starter at Cincinnati and
capped things off in 2021 with an 884-yard, eight-TD campaign. It put him in the discussion as a
mid-round pick, and he ultimately ended up going to Indy in the second round (53rd overall)
after boosting his stock with a stellar combine workout (4.41 40, 40.5-inch vertical at 6-3, 211).
Pierce may now be the downfield threat for new Colts QB Matt Ryan, who otherwise has
Michael Pittman, oft-injured Parris Campbell and Ashton Dulin as the leading candidates for
playing time at wide receiver. Pittman cleared 1,000 yards last year and is a heavy favorite to
lead the team in targets and receiving again, but Pierce has a real shot to become Option B or
C.
