Inks deal with Pittsburgh
The Steelers signed Edwards as an undrafted free agent Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Edwards was just a one-year starter at Georgia and overall functioned as part of a backfield committee. He concluded his four-year collegiate career with a 391-2,082-24 rushing line. Edwards is strong in pass-protection and joins a Pittsburgh backfield that is led by Najee Harris, Jaylen Warren and newcomer Cordarrelle Patterson.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Not Georgia's best recent RB
Edwards could be a sixth- or seventh-round pick, per the comprehensive 2024 NFL Draft Guide compiled by Dane Brugler of The Athletic.
ANALYSIS
Edwards lacks the pedigree of other recent running backs to make the NFL out of Georgia, such as Nick Chubb, D'Andre Swift, James Cook or even Zamir White. Nonetheless, Edwards could carve out a career in the NFL thanks to strong pass protection skills and quickness in a 5-foot-10, 213-pound frame. Edwards' 4.70-second 40-yard dash at Georgia's Pro Day was disappointing, but he racked up 1,649 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns on 305 carries over his last two years with the Bulldogs, including a team-high 880 yards on the ground in 2023.
