Dream11 Fantasy Soccer: Tottenham Hotspur v. Manchester United Preview

This article is part of our Dream11 Fantasy Soccer series.

Game Preview

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur return to action after more than three months without a competitive fixture, and both clubs arrive under opposite streaks of form. While Spurs have gone three straight without a win (D1, L2), the Red Devils are riding a five-game undefeated streak in the league (W3, D2) – that run pushes to 11 matches in all competitions. Tottenham have gone W3, L2 in their last five at home, however, so they might have enough in them to make this a close contest. However, it's hard to bet against Manchester United if we look at what they were doing before the season was halted. Both sides will have positive injury news as well. Harry Kane is healthy – despite the fact he is listed as questionable – and should start upfront for Tottenham, while both Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford should return for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side. The previous fixture between both clubs this season ended in a 2-1 win for United.

Expected Lineups

Tottenham Hotspur: Hugo Lloris; Serge Aurier, Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez, Ben Davies; Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, Eric Dier; Steven Bergwijn, Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min

Manchester United: David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw; Scott McTominay, Paul Pogba; Bruno Fernandes; Daniel James, Anthony Martial, Marcus Rashford

Top Picks

Bruno Fernandes, Manchester United: Marcus Rashford would be the best option for Manchester United, but it remains to be seen whether he is 100 percent healthy. Bruno Fernandes, therefore, gets the nod as captain in this one. The former Sporting Lisbon star has been United's most dominant player since his arrival, and he should be in line for another productive outing. Additionally, he has scored in two of Manchester United's last three Premier League matches.

Son Heung-Min, Tottenham: Kane is coming off a lengthy injury absence, and even though he is a world-class striker, he is unlikely to be 100 percent fit. Therefore, it's a better idea to choose Son as a potential captaincy alternative, especially in a Tottenham-based lineup. The South Korea international has looked excellent all season long and should create havoc with his pacey runs.

Captain and Vice-Captain Options

  1. Bruno Fernandes
  2. Son Heung-Min
  3. Marcus Rashford
  4. Harry Kane
