Fantasy Premier League Rankings: Gameweek 12

This article is part of our Fantasy Premier League Rankings series.

The big match of Gameweek 12 is Sunday when Man United travel to the Etihad for the first Manchester derby of the season, with Manchester City holding the second-highest win odds on the weekend, though only the fourth-highest odds for a clean sheet. United picked up a huge 2-1 away win against Juventus in the Champions League on Wednesday, while Man City dispatched of Shakhtar Donetsk 6-0 without needing a single minute from Sergio Aguero. I considered Aguero momentarily as the top forward of the weekend, but Jose Mourinho usually does a pretty good job of ruining matches, so expecting a lot out of Aguero may be asking too much.

Liverpool have the highest win and clean sheet odds as they take on a Fulham defense that has allowed at least three goals in four of their past five matches while getting shut out in both of their last two. Needless to say, there are going to be plenty of people captaining Mohamed Salah as Liverpool look to bounce back from their shocking 2-0 Champions League loss to FK Crvena Zvezda in Serbia on Tuesday.

Salah's excellent matchup is what puts him slightly ahead of Eden Hazard, who has gotten on the scoresheet in all but two Premier League matches this season, but he now faces an Everton side that's allowed one or zero goals in four of their past five. It's still a prime spot for Hazard, but it's not enough to put him ahead of Salah.

Defensively, both Liverpool and Chelsea have strong matchups, and you could even throw Tottenham in there despite playing away to Crystal Palace. Given his attacking upside, and the fact that he didn't start Tuesday's Champions League match against PSV Eindhoven, Kieran Trippier is an obvious high-upside play, though Tottenham's clean sheet odds are lower than Liverpool's, Manchester City's, Chelsea's, Leicester's and Arsenal's.
