Kyle Weatherman

26-Year-Old Driver
DGM Racing
2024 Fantasy Outlook
Weatherman made just 25 starts last season, split between three or four different teams. This year he gets a full slate of 33 events with DGM Racing. This car ran the full schedule in 2023 with a handful of different drivers in a rotation, including Weatherman. The performance was decent despite the inconsistency behind the wheel. This team would rack up two Top-10 and seven Top-15 finishes with the driver rotation. Weatherman has never run the entire 33-race schedule, so this will be a first. With 109-career starts in this division of NASCAR to his credit and three Top 10's, he does have a good bit of experience. There should be some growth and improvement with this team switching to a capable, single driver in the upcoming season. Read Past Outlooks
Not in-car for Saturday
XFINITY Series
May 21, 2022
Weatherman will not race in Jesse Iwuji's place for Saturday's Xfinity event despite qualifying prior to the race, Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Weatherman initially qualified for Iwuji's car due to the latter's naval obligation that forced him to miss the qualifying race for Saturday's event. Iwuji is set to race on Saturday however thanks to an exemption from NASCAR due to his rookie status Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports.

Iwuji split his Chevrolet with Weatherman last season. It looks like the same arrangement could be in store for 2023. Weatherman had the most success, making 18 starts and grabbing one Top-10 and 10 Top-20 finishes. Iwuji isn't quite as experienced and polished as Weatherman, so the level of performance dropped in his 11 starts, although he did produce a surprising 11th-place finish in the summer Daytona race. Iwuji would like to eventually expand into two race teams, but that's not likely to happen in 2023. Instead, he'll just focus on better racing and getting the No. 34 entry more competitive.
Weatherman parted ways with Mike Harmon Racing last season. He is a free agent driver entering the 2022 season.
The 23-year-old youngster will return for a second season with Mike Harmon Racing. Weatherman made 23 starts split between the team's No. 47 and 74 entries last year, but is expected to be the full-time driver of the No. 47 Chevrolet this season. Weatherman grabbed one Top-10 and three Top-15 finishes last year in his 23-race effort. It was a season of learning for the young driver and he'll look to gradually improve in 2021. Ed Jewett returns as crew chief. He led Weatherman to a surprising eighth-place finish at Kentucky last season, which was a team-best finish for Mike Harmon Racing in their 12-season existence. The gains will be measured in small steps for this driver and team.
Weatherman made seven starts last season with StarCom Racing in the No. 99 Chevrolet. It was a time share among several drivers with Weatherman garnering the best efforts. He earned just one Top-30 finish, but was running at the end of all but one race. The team hasn't announced their plans for this season at the time of this writing, but it's assumed they'll return in another part-time capacity, with Weatherman playing a significant role. The 21-year-old driver has just nine-career starts at NASCAR's top level, so he has a lot more learning to do in 2019. His five seasons of racing in ARCA shows that Weatherman has some talent, but it still needs to be developed.
