Signs on with Swallows
Sneed agreed to a contract with the Swallows on Friday, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
According to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com, the Houston Astros granted Sneed his unconditional release Wednesday, so he'll likely officially put pen to paper on his deal with the Swallows in the coming days. Over parts of two seasons in MLB, Sneed made all 26 of his appearances out of the bullpen, posting a 5.59 ERA and 1.63 WHIP. Sneed made nine starts at the Triple-A level in 2019, so it's possible the Swallows look to him as a possible rotation option in 2021.
