Survives exciting brawl

Campos lost to Sam Sicilia via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 29-28) at Bellator 212 on Friday in Honolulu.
ANALYSIS
In some ways, it is a shame that someone has to lose a fight like this. The bout between Campos and Sicilia fired up the crowd and started the main card the way you want. However, in the end, Sicilia took home the decision. Campos certainly landed his own strikes, but Sicilia's combinations were slightly cleaner and swayed the judges. Campos had won four-straight fights in Bellator between 2016-2017. This year, he has dropped both of his fights.

Fails to break through against Patricky Freire at Bellator 194
LightweightBellator
February 16, 2018
Campos lost to Patricky Freire via TKO (punches) at 2:23 of Round 1 at Bellator 194 on Friday in Uncasville, Conn.
ANALYSIS
Campos came into this fight riding a four-fight winning streak. However, that all came to an end in the first round against Freire. Campos, as usual, sat on his power punches. This allowed "Pitbull" to lead. About two minutes into the round, Freire came forward with an overhand right and floored Campos. He got back to his feet, but, at that point, Freire was all over him. Campos is still a high-level lightweight, and there are plenty of fights for him in the Bellator division.
Walks out the winner of brutal Bellator 181 main event

July 14, 2017
Campos defeated Brandon Girtz via TKO (cut) at 5:00 of Round 2 at Bellator 181 on Friday in Thackerville, Okla.
ANALYSIS
This fight was really something. Neither fighter seemed interesting is doing anything other than throwing bombs. Both fighters were hurt on multiple occasions, but whenever a fighter was hurt, the other would come storming back with power shots. Towards the end of the first round, Campos landed a hard knee of Girtz that caused a massive cut on Girtz's forehead. He was bleeding very badly, but the doctor and referee allowed him to come out for the second round. Girtz absorbed more damage in that round, and the referee stopped the fight before the final round. Campos was getting the better of the exchanges and likely would have won if the fight went to the cards. Since losing to Girtz in 2015, Campos has now won four-straight fights. If he continues this winning streak, he might end up fight for the promotion's lightweight title.
Receives new opponent for Bellator 181
LightweightBellator
June 27, 2017
Campos will now face Brandon Girtz in a lightweight bout at Bellator 181 on July 14 in Thackerville, Oklahoma.
ANALYSIS
Campos was set to fight Patricky Freire but with the return of Ben Henderson, Freire was reassigned to Bellator 183. Brandon Girtz will be taking his place against Campos. This will be the second time the two fighters face off. Last time, Girtz won with a TKO (punches), but also represents a strong submission threat, collecting eight in his professional career. Campos will step into the cage with a three-fight winning streak.
Edges out Derek Anderson at Bellator 170
LightweightBellator
January 21, 2017
Campos defeated Derek Anderson via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at Bellator 170 in Inglewood, Calif. on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Early in this fight, Anderson appeared extremely confident. He bounced around on the outside and taunted his opponent. However, whenever he did this Campos would come forward and land hard shots. Both fighters were throwing without much defense, but Campos landed the harder and better strikes over the majority of the fight. With about two minutes left in the fight, Anderson landed a hard shot. Campos countered with a takedown and nearly road out of the round. Campos has now won three-straight fights in Bellator.
Picks up a comeback victory over Djamil Chan
LightweightBellator
September 16, 2016
Campos defeated Djamil Chan via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at Bellator 161 on Friday in Cedar Park, Texas
ANALYSIS
In the opening frame, Djamil Chan dropped Campos with a vicious combination. A lot of referees would have stopped the fight right there. However, Campos was able to get back to his feet and continued to pressure his opponent on the feet. That trend continued in the second round, and Campos got back into the fight with lead hooks and straight punches. Campos went to his wrestling early in round three and spent the majority of the period working from side control. With the victory, "The Stallion" moves to 6-4 in Bellator and 17-6 overall.
