To fight at UFC 235
Saint Preux has been booked to fight Misha Cirkunov in a light heavyweight bout at UFC 235 on March 2.
ANALYSIS
Saint Preux most recently lost to Dominick Reyes via unanimous decision at UFC 229 back in October, and the 35-year-old has now lost two of his last three fights after rattling off three straight. While he'll now be matched up with a fighter in Cirkunov, who boasts an impressive 5-2 record in UFC, Saint Preux will serve as Cirkunov's toughest test to date.

Not competitive in loss to Dominick Reyes Saturday
Saint Preux lost to Dominick Reyes via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC 229 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
OSP was doomed by a slow start. He spent the vast majority of Round 1 serving as a punching bag for Reyes and he was unable to recover in Rounds 2 and 3. Realizing he was getting picked apart on the feet, Saint Preux tried to lean on his grappling game. That strategy failed miserably as he ended up going 1-for-11 on his takedown attempts. It was an all-around dismal effort from a fighter that has struggled with consistency throughout his time with the company. There is zero reason to believe that the 35-year-old Saint Preux will suddenly get his act together.

Draws Dominick Reyes for UFC 229
Saint Preux will fight Dominick Reyes in a light heavyweight matchup at UFC 229 on Oct. 6 in Las Vegas, Adam Hill of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
Saint Preux has been on top of his game lately, winning four of his past five fights. His one loss was to No. 3-ranked light heavyweight Ilir Latifi, which likely put his chances of getting another title shot on hold for a while. The UFC is certainly doing him no favors in handing him Reyes, a younger fighter that is 3-0 with the promotion -- all via first-round stoppage. Saint Preux will represent the toughest test to date for Reyes, who has yet to truly be challenged in the standup game or on the mat. Look for OSP to enter as a slight favorite, but this is a dangerous matchup.

Holds his position near the top of the light heavyweight division
Saint Preux defeated Tyson Pedro via submission (straight armbar) at 2:54 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night in Singapore.
ANALYSIS
This fight had a little bit of everything. Pedro hurt Saint Preux early in the round. It looked like the fight might end right there. However, Saint Preux was able to regroup and get the top position. From there, he locked on a straight armbar and finished the fight. Saint Preux continues to hold his place as a top light heavyweight. He still has plenty of work to do to fight his way back into the title picture, but it is clear that he still making improvements at this stage of his career.

Draws Tyson Pedro in Singapore
Saint Preux will take on Tyson Pedro in a light heavyweight matchup at UFC Singapore on June 23, MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Saint Preux had been riding a three-fight winning streak in the UFC before he was stopped by a first-round guillotine choke in a February matchup against Ilir Latifi. He's been an up-and-down fighter through most of his time with the UFC, going 4-4 in his last eight bouts. The 35-year-old can handle the 205-pound roster depth with ease, but struggles a bit when getting to the higher-ranked light heavyweight competition. Pedro stands somewhere in between those two classifications, posting a 3-1 record under the UFC banner. Their only common opponent is Latifi, who Pedro manged to go the distance with.
