Court McGee
The Crusher
Booked for UFC on ESPN 3
WelterweightUFC
March 14, 2019
McGee will take on Dhiego Lima in a welterweight fight at UFC on ESPN 3 on April 27, Alexander K. Lee of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
McGee was riding a two-fight losing streak before he pulled out a victory over Alex Garcia via unanimous decision at UFC Fight Night 138 back in October. McGee has been a fighter that has tended to go the distance since singing with the UFC, as 11 of his 14 fights in the octagon have been decided via unanimous decision. Meanwhile, his opponent Lima has gone the distance in just one of his last four fights, with his most recent bout ending in a victory via knockout in Round 1.

WelterweightUFC
October 27, 2018
McGee defeated Alex Garcia via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Moncton, New Brunswick.
ANALYSIS
This was the type of fight where whoever ends up on top will win. Both fighters traded top position throughout the three-round fight. In the end, McGee ended up on top more. The first round was a struggle for him, but in the end he pushed forward and took the top position in rounds two and three. It was a vintage performance from McGee. At this point, this is who he is. He will have close fights against fighters at this level and win more than he loses.

Drops decision at UFC Norfolk
WelterweightUFC
November 12, 2017
McGee lost to Sean Strickland via unanimous decision (29-29, 29-29, 27-30) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Norfolk, Virginia.
ANALYSIS
The scoring of this fight was strange in that the scorecards were somehow added wrongly and the outcome was originally announced as a majority draw. The error has since been corrected and McGee has been left with a loss for his record. While the fighter threw an identical number of total strikes to his opponent (109 to Strickland's 104), he didn't show enough control to win the first and last frames. In addition, his 11 takedown attempts were blocked while he allowed Strickland to land three. McGee drops to 19-7 (7-6 UFC) as a result of the lost decision.

Loses to Ben Saunders via unanimous decision
WelterweightUFC
January 16, 2017
McGee lost to Ben Saunders via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night 103 in Phoenix on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
McGee clearly won the third round of this fight, but didn't do enough in the first two frames to take home the decision. McGee tried to get his pressure game going early, but was kept at bay by the hard body kicks of Saunders, and was unable to consistently use his wrestling. McGee is the kind of fighter who gets wins due to his ability to stay in the fight and press forward, but his inability to get the finish leaves him at the whim of the judges more often than not. He has now lost three of his last five fights.
