New opponent lined up
Fairn will now face Jacqueline Cavalcanti in a presumed bantamweight matchup at UFC Paris on September 2, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

It's a relatively quick turnaround for Fairn, who was initially set to face Hailey Cowan at the event, but Cowan withdrew on August 18 for undisclosed reasons. In steps Calvacanti, a 25-year-old prospect out of Portugal with a 5-1-0 professional MMA record. This is as close to must-win territory as it gets for a UFC fighter, as Fairn has dropped three consecutive fights dating back to 2019.
