Racks up another split decision win
March 7, 2020
Chikadze defeated Jamall Emmers via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC 248 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
Chikadze has now earned split decision victories in his first two UFC bouts. He entered as a underdog against Brandon Davis last September and entered as an underdog (+150) on Saturday. Chikadze started strongly in this one before beginning to fade a bit as the fight went on. He allowed Emmers to score a successful takedown in each of the final two rounds. Chikadze's striking accuracy will have to improve moving forward, as he landed just 31 percent (38/122) of his significant strikes against Emmers. Still, this marked the second straight solid effort from Chikadze as an underdog.

The two fighters are even in height and reach.
Successful UFC debut
September 29, 2019
Chikadze defeated Brandon Davis via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Copenhagen on Saturday.
It was unclear at first whether Chikadze would secure the upset victory, as the fight was initially announced as a split draw but later corrected by UFC officials. It was a close first round that could have gone either way and Chikadze almost certainly lost the third round, but he got the nod in the second from two of the three official scorers. While Chikadze did allow Davis to score three takedowns, the Georgian-born fighter won the final striking battle 59 to 34 while also securing a takedown, a pass and a reversal in the winning effort.
