Touahri has been booked to fight Mickey Gall in a welterweight bout at UFC Newark on Aug. 3, Alexander K. Lee of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
It was originally reported that Touahri would be going up against Zelim Imadaev in this event, but the UFC made it official Tuesday that Gall would in fact be his opponent. Regardless, Touahri is still on the hunt for his first victory under the UFC promotion after back-to-back losses via decision against Warlley Alves and Keita Nakamura over the last two years.

Touahri lost to Keita Nakamura via split decision (27-30, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Adelaide, Australia.

He slowly allowed Nakamura to regain control of the contest as the bout progressed and Touahri was credited with just seven total strikes landed in the third and deciding frame. It was another lousy effort from the 29-year-old on the heels of his unanimous decision setback to Warlley Alves in his company debut in October 2017. It's more likely than not that Touahri doesn't get a third opportunity with the company.
