At distance, she back pedaled and avoided action. In clinch positions, she mostly wanted to hold and avoid punishment. Kavanagh continued to move forward and land good punches, but she was never able to land the big shots needed to finish the fight. The Irish fighter was impressive. However, she is already 30 years old and yet a relative novice in the sport. Plus, Bellator has not really promoted the women's bantamweight division at this point. It will be interesting to see if the promotion uses her again.
