FanDuel NHL: Thursday-Friday Playoff Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

GOALIE

Marc-Andre Fleury, VGK vs. WPG ($8,600): Fleury is probably the favorite to win the Conn Smythe at the moment, and why wouldn't you want to rely on a goalie performing like that? Only twice in the playoffs has he had a save percentage below .900, and both times were on the road. The Golden Knights have only lost once at home, so the Jets would have to defy the odds to beat them.

CENTER

Mark Scheifele, WPG at VGK ($7,600): Scheifele seems to be the one Jet having no issue solving Vegas' defense. He had two goals on five shots in Game 3, and has four points in this series. In fact, in his last 12 games he has nine multi-point performances. The 25-year-old is the focal point of Winnipeg's offense, so if they have success, it will likely involve him.

Lars Eller, WAS vs. TAM ($4,500): The absence of Nicklas Backstrom seems to have lit a fire under Eller. He has a point in every game of this series, including three points in game two. It's not like Eller was playing poorly before this series either, as he had five points in the final five games of the Pittsburgh series. Even if Backstrom returns, there will be a role for Eller.

WING

James Neal, VGK vs. WPG ($6,900): Neal tallied two points in Game 3, a nice sign given his playoff performance. He does have nine points in 12 games, but only four goals. However, he's also put 50 shots on net. If he stays that active, more goals could come. That's especially true given that Connor Hellebuyck has started to struggle in net.

T.J. Oshie, WAS vs. TAM ($5,900): Oshie has seven points in his last seven games, and 11 points in 15 playoffs contests. In those games he also has eight power-play points and has averaged 3:44 per game with the extra man. The Lightning had the 27th-ranked penalty kill this season, so if Oshie gets playoff time clearly he can take advantage of it.

Alex Tuch, VGK vs. WPG ($4,500): Tuch is one of the many young Knights who emerged this season. He had 15 goals and 22 assists in 78 games this year, including 10 points on the power play. The 22-year-old also has five goals in this postseason, three with the extra man. Heading into Wednesday's Game 3, Connor Hellebuyck had a .913 save percentage over his previous eight contests. Then he gave up three goals on 29 shots, which was not a step in the right direction.

DEFENSEMEN

Victor Hedman, TAM at WAS ($6,200): Hedman may have failed to register a point against the Devils in the first round, but he hasn't gone a game without a point since. That means he has an eight-game point streak wherein he has 11 points total. Braden Holtby finally had an off night in Game 3, which calls to mind the fact he had a 2.99 GAA and .907 save percentage this season.

Mikhail Sergachev, TAM at WAS ($3,900): It's hard to recommend a lot of Lightning players at the moment, as many of their forwards outside of Steven Stamkos and Nikita Kucherov have gone cold. However, given Braden Holtby's performance in Game 3 and his regular-season numbers, it feels smart to try and get some Lightning players in your lineup. There is some upside with Sergachev. The 19-year-old started 70.2 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, highest on the Lightning by a wide margin. He also had 16 points on the power play. Sergachev has averaged 2:35 per game with the extra man in the playoffs, which gives him more potential than other defensemen who don't see power-play time.
