FantasyDraft NHL: Wednesday Values

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NHL series.

Can you believe that some NHL teams have already played 60 games? Where has the time gone? There are three more games Wednesday, and here are some recommendations for your daily fantasy lineup.

GOALIE

Chicago Blackhawks, CHI vs. OTT ($16,300): The Blackhawks have really struggled recently, but there are still a couple things in their favor in this one. For starters, Ottawa is 7-17-4 on the road. Second, the Senators have only averaged 2.18 goals and 29.9 shots on net per game away from home. Anton Forsberg has had his issues, but over his last eight games he has a tolerable 2.61 GAA.

CENTER

Erik Haula, VGK vs. CGY ($13,000): With Mike Smith banged up for the Flames, David Rittich will be in net for this one. Over his last eight games he has a 3.28 GAA and a .901 save percentage. Haula has seven goals and seven assists in his last 15 games. On top of that he's put 19 shots on goal in his last six contests.

Jonathan Toews, CHI vs. OTT ($11,900): Toews has had struggles, with a career-low 9.1 percent shooting playing a part in that, but he has two goals on 24 shots over his last seven contests. He also notched four assists in those games, including two on the power play. The Senators have a 3.43 team GAA, second worst in the NHL, and they also have the 29th-ranked penalty kill.

WING

Alexander Radulov, DAL at ANA ($13,300): Radulov has 21 goals and 32 assists through 59 games, including 15 points with the extra man. John Gibson had to leave Anaheim's last game with an injury, which could leave Ryan Miller starting this one. Miller has a 3.88 GAA and an .888 save percentage in his last nine outings, so if he starts that could bode well for Radulov. Even if Gibson starts, the Ducks have allowed 33.4 shots on net per contest.

Mike Hoffman, OTT at CHI ($12,800): Hoffman has scored 16 goals in 58 games despite the fact he's shooting 8.7 percent on the season. Things have finally started to turn around, as he has four goals in his last eight contests. Even though the Blackhawks were chosen for the goaltender position earlier, that doesn't mean I believe this game will necessarily be a shutout. It makes sense to consider some of Ottawa's better players, and that includes Hoffman.

Alex DeBrincat, CHI vs. OTT ($9,800): DeBrincat has five points in his last five games, including three on the power play. The rookie has 22 goals in 60 games overall and has also tallied 10 points with the extra man. As previously noted, the Senators have a 3.43 team GAA. There are few better matchups out there.

DEFENSE

Duncan Keith, CHI vs. OTT ($10,400): With only three games on the slate, and with the Senators struggles defensively and on the penalty kill, it makes sense to get excited about the Blackhawks on Wednesday. Keith only has one goal, but that's because of profoundly bad puck luck. The veteran has put 144 shots on net, so the fact he has a single goal is truly surprising. Ottawa has given up 33.4 shots on net per game, so Keith should have the chance to try and get that second goal.

Colin Miller, VGK vs. CGY ($9,000): Miller has started 62.6 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, most on the Golden Knights. He's also averaged 2:34 per game with the extra man, tallying 13 power-play points in 59 contests. The Flames have the 19th-ranked penalty kill, and with Rittich in net instead of Smith they likely won't be as good as they usually are.
