Likely headed to minors
Heinola, who is recovering from a broken ankle, will probably spend some time in the minors, per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Heinola has yet to make his season debut after suffering his ankle injury in the preseason and may need some time in the minors to get his legs under him. Even once cleared to play, Heinola is far from a lock for a spot in the lineup and would likely have to challenge Dylan Samberg for minutes.

2019 Fantasy Outlook
Selected with the 20th overall pick in the 2019 NHL Draft, Heinola could shake up a Jets blue line that is already going through a significant overhaul following the departures of Jacob Trouba, Tyler Myers and Ben Chiarot. Given the club's number of young defensive prospects, it seems likely the 18-year-old will spend another year in Finland developing his game, but a strong showing in camp could throw a wrench in that plan. Owners in dynasty formats would do well to try to stash him away, as it likely won't be long until he joins Winnipeg full time.
