DraftKings NHL: Tuesday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

GOALIE

Sergei Bobrovsky, CLS vs. DAL ($8,000): It looked like Old Bob out there when he allowed just two goals in two games, but then made just 25 saves in a three-goal loss to the Ducks. Pressure is mounting for a franchise at crossroads, especially on Bob who is a free agent this summer. The BJ's get a good chance to bounce back against the Stars, who are 1-10-1 against Bobrovsky and lost last night in overtime, 2-1.

CENTER

Elias Pettersson, VAN at DET ($7,100): Pettersson is coming off a five-point performance in a thrilling comeback win against the Avalanche in overtime, 7-6, and by all measures has blown away all expectations. Sure, he can put on some more muscle, and he certainly will in time, but he's already having an easy time scoring and it'll be easier with the Wings' mediocre goaltending.

Ryan O'Reilly, STL vs. CAR ($6,300): It's déjà vu for O'Reilly, who finds himself being the best player on a bad team. He is on a seven-game point streak but failing to breathe much life into the Blues, who are 4-5-3 and last in the Central. However, the Hurricanes are a favorable matchup despite having the better record because they've lost four straight and allowed at least three goals in four of their past five games.

WING

Taylor Hall, NJ at OTT ($7,600): Surely, the video that showed Sens players venting about their frustrating season is the franchise's lowest point. Unfortunately for them, sports can be cruel, and the Devils must be relishing the chance to tie the Penguins in the standings after defeating them last night, 5-1. Hall scored a goal and six points in three games against the Sens last season.

Brock Boeser, VAN at DET ($5,800): It's a good opportunity to line stack with Boeser snapping a six-game goal drought and establishing some great chemistry with Pettersson. He's the rare high-volume, high-efficiency shooter you look for in an elite sniper. Boeser has been fighting a groin injury all season and considered a game-time decision, but he's also had three days' rest, and if he plays the upside is tremendous. If Boeser doesn't play, Brendan Leipsic will take his spot.

Kevin Labanc, SJ vs. MIN ($4,400): He's scored a goal and two assists in his past two games and in the past little while has played on the same power play as Erik Karlsson, Logan Couture and Joe Pavelski. The former sixth-round pick was a prolific scorer in junior so he's no flash in the pan. Labanc will have high-ceiling fantasy value as long as he gets the prime opportunities.

DEFENSE

Ryan McDonagh, TB vs. EDM ($6,100): Since joining the top power-play unit in Victor Hedman's absence, McDonagh's notched six points, two of which were helpers on the man advantage. He's played over 25 minutes in his past two games and living up the price tag as a fill-in No. 1. The Oilers penalty killing is horrendous, so there should be plenty of opportunities to score.

Drew Doughty, LA vs. ANH ($5,400): Is Doughty angry? Does he approve of Willie Desjardins? I feel like these are key questions for someone who plays well when he's mad, and the Ducks are a division rival and employ scumbag center Ryan Kesler. Doughty's collected four assists in his past three games and has traditionally played very well against the Ducks. He scored two points and 17 shots on goal in five games against them last season.
