2019 Fantasy Outlook
Foster has floated around the league since joining the Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2016, spending time on the practice squad and 53-man roster of both that team and the Cardinals. The latter organization has provided more opportunity to make a mark - 36 touches with Arizona in 2017 versus 25 in New England one year prior - but he didn't handle any last season due to a preseason ACL tear. In the meantime, rehabilitation has been Foster's focus, and when healthy he'll join Chase Edmonds and T.J. Logan in the competition for slotting behind starting running back David Johnson. Moves to injured reserve
Foster (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve Monday, Scott Bordow of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Foster missed the last two games with the hamstring issue and now is likely to be sidelined for the rest of the season. Kenyan Drake was acquired from Miami (pending a physical) to bolster Arizona's running game while David Johnson (ankle) and Chase Edmonds (hamstring) nurse injuries.

Jerry Donabedian breaks down all 14 games from Week 7, highlighting Allen Robinson's dominance in an otherwise feeble passing game.

There's plenty of star players coming and going in terms of availability heading into Week 7, and Juan Carlos Blanco guides you through the latest relevant injury news regarding each.

Jerry Donabedian is all-in on Gardner Minshew and D.J. Chark, hoping to take advantage of the Jaguars' newfound focus on downfield passing.

With many top players not on Sunday's main 10-game slate, the Jaguars' Gardner Minshew could be a popular choice in cash games and GPPs.

2016
An undrafted free agent in 2016, Foster made three appearances as a rookie with the Patriots, but the backfield was too stacked for him to make their 53-man roster after last preseason. He instead spent Week 1 on New England's practice squad, from which he was plucked by Arizona on the heels of David Johnson's dislocated wrist in the opener. Foster needed time to ingratiate himself with coach Bruce Arians and company, but another season-ending injury to Adrian Peterson forced the Cardinals' hand. From Week 11 onward, Foster was a receiving complement to starter Kerwynn Williams, reeling in 17 of 28 passes for 133 yards over the final seven games. With Johnson back to handle a workhorse role and the selection of fourth-rounder Chase Edmonds, Foster may be a healthy scratch weekly, assuming he lands a spot on the final squad.
