Valencia Basket terminated Hlinason's contract Monday, Eurohoops.net reports.

ANALYSIS
Hlinason spent the past season on loan with another Spanish club in Monbus Obradoiro, with the 21-year-old posting averages of 3.5 points and 2.5 boards in 13.0 minutes per game during domestic-league play. Though the Iceland native was recently returned to Valencia, the club apparently didn't view him part of their long-term vision. Valencia earned a seat in the 2019-20 EuroLeague table by virtue of winning the 2018-19 EuroCup.
