Heroic vs. Astralis

The opening match of Dreamhack EU Masters is a Danish derby between the Road to Rio EU Champions, Astralis, and a very out of form Heroic. This match looks to be one of the most one-sided of the day, as Astralis, lead by device in some of the best form of his life, look to open Dreamhack Masters Spring with a victory. Heroic will be attempting to upset the World No. 1 with new addition niko bolstering the roster's firepower, replacing Snappi. Heroic's last time out saw 2-0 victories over Nordavind and Secret, while Astralis haven't lost a map in their last three matches. Astralis took down G2 3-0, FaZe 2-0, and G2 again, 2-0, to complete a smooth playoff run in the ESL Road to Rio. The value in this match should come from the superstars of Astralis, as they look to continue that excellent undefeated form.

  • Heroic Players to Target: cadiaN ($9,000 Captain, $6,000 Flex)
  • Astralis Players to Target: device ($12,900 Captain, $8,600 Flex), magisk ($11,400 Captain, $7,600 Flex)

North vs. G2 Esports

The second match of the day looks to be almost as one-sided as the first, as North come into the tournament with new addition Kristou on loan, standing in for Kjaerbye, who is out due to long-term health concerns. Meanwhile, G2 come in after a

North vs. G2 Esports

The second match of the day looks to be almost as one-sided as the first, as North come into the tournament with new addition Kristou on loan, standing in for Kjaerbye, who is out due to long-term health concerns. Meanwhile, G2 come in after a silver medal performance in ESL Road to Rio, where despite a decisive defeat in the grand final, 3-0 to Astralis, they looked good throughout the tournament. In particular, huNter- and nexa, the two newest additions to G2, were in shining form as they provided consistent threat alongside star AWPer kennyS. If North want to stand up to the international powerhouse of G2, they will look towards aizy and Kristou, with the latter particularly important as he steps into the shoes of the former major MVP Kjaerbye. The value in this match comes from G2; with firepower across the board, the French-lead team will look to establish themselves in the group with a 1-0 start, with AmaNEk and jaCkz, in particular, looking to return to form after the grand final defeat.

  • North Players to Target: cajunb ($8,700 Captain, $5,800 Flex)
  • G2 Players to Target: nexa ($12,300 Captain, $8,200 Flex), kennyS ($11,100 Captain, $7,400 Flex)

Chaos vs. Team Liquid

The final match of the slate is in the North American division, where Team Liquid will look to turn around their poor form from the ESL Road to Rio against a new look Chaos side. Chaos have added two new members since their last showing in Flashpoint 1, with cam and SicK departing, cam due to performance, while SicK departed to pursue a career in Valorant. Chaos' first replacement, leaf, also departed the team for Valorant, with the end result being the addition of Xeppaa and Jonji filling out the Chaos side. Team Liquid come into the match as heavy favorites with the same roster that has seen them top the world rankings. Despite their poor form, the North American giants will look to start a strong group stage run. While this match features star power in spades on the side of Team Liquid, the value could come from their depth, with both stewie2k and Twistzz looking for rebound performances against a weakened Chaos side. Especially impactful could be Twistzz, who has sported a 1.09 rating over the last three months, as he looks to return to form as they enter the summer season.

  • Chaos Players to Target: steel ($10,200 Captain, $6,800 Flex)
  • Team Liquid Players to Target: EliGE ($13,500 Captain, $9,000 Flex), Twistzz ($10,500 Captain, $7,000 Flex)
