Holmes (ankle) was announced as a starter on the big screen prior to the Bruins' matchup against Oklahoma on Saturday night, Thuc Nhi Nguyen of the Los Angeles Daily News reports.
ANALYSIS
Holmes is widely regarded as one of the top defensive backs in the nation but will not have an easy matchup in his first game back from injury. The junior out of Pasadena will have to match up with CeeDee Lamb, the top receiver for the Sooners, who already has eight receptions for 190 yards and two touchdowns through two games. If Holmes can shut Lamb down or at least limit his production then he will give the Bruins a good shot at winning this game.
