Hankerson’s potential productivity is uncertain heading into fall camp despite landing atop the depth chart in the spring. Alex Fontenot is still with the team, and new coach Deion Sanders heaped praise on incoming Houston transfer Alton McCaskill, who will be back in action after a year of recovery from a torn ACL. Although Hankerson showed flashes of brilliance in Colorado’s anemic offense last season, he failed to break the 100-yard barrier and dealt with a lingering hamstring injury that hampered his progress.
