May 13, 2020
Gilmore announced Wednesday via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to join North Texas as a transfer from Kentucky.
ANALYSIS
North Texas is set to hold a quarterback competition in 2020 with longtime starter Mason Fine graduating, but Gilmore isn't expected to be a factor until 2021, unless the NCAA extends him a waiver. The dual-threat signal-caller took a redshirt during his lone season at Kentucky, so he'll likely only have three years of eligibility remaining if he has to wait until 2021 to debut for North Texas.
