Spencer Rattler

QuarterbackQB
2021 Fantasy Outlook
The quarterback in a Lincoln Riley offense is always a strong bet for fantasy, and Rattler is no exception. He took over in 2020 and produced 3,031 passing yards on a 67.5 percent completion rate, adding 28 passing touchdowns and six rushing scores. Rattler isn’t an explosive runner (2.0 YPC) but he’s a threat to punch it in occasionally and his impressive passing production picks up the rushing slack. He also has elite talent and depth at receiver. In a conference with shaky defenses abound, there’s little argument against Rattler as a Top 5 fantasy quarterback. Read Past Outlooks
Won't start Saturday
October 16, 2021
Rattler will not start Saturday's game against TCU, Jason Kersey of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
It appears the staff was trying to deceive in warmups by putting Rattler behind the first-string center, but he will cede Saturday's start to Caleb Williams. He could still see the field in some capacity.

2020 Fantasy Outlook
Rattler has some fairly huge shoes to fill as he follows up Heisman winners Baker Mayfield and Kyler Murray as well as Heisman runner-up Jalen Hurts in Lincoln Riley's famous Oklahoma offense. He'll have to beat out Tanner Mordecai, but he should be able to do this as the more highly touted prospect. Rattler was a five-star recruit after throwing for a state high-school record 11,083 yards and 116 touchdowns as an Arizona prep superstar. While the Sooners will have to reload at some of their key offensive positions, they will return four starters on perhaps the best offensive line in America. This sets up for Rattler having a productive redshirt freshman season and being a value in upcoming fantasy drafts.
