Joins UAB
WRUAB
July 22, 2020
UAB lists Taylor on its official 2020 roster, suggesting he's joined the program as a transfer from Memphis.
ANALYSIS
Taylor never played a down for Memphis, but he was regarded as one of the Tigers' top incoming recruits after committing to the program in 2019 and submitting an impressive season this past fall for JUCO program Copiah-Lincoln Community College. The move from a prolific Memphis attack (eighth in FBS in scoring offense in 2019) to a lower-tier offense in UAB (102nd in 2019) hinders Taylor's overall fantasy upside, but he'll at least stand a better chance at emerging as a starting wideout from Day 1 with the Blazers than would have been possible with the Tigers. Listed as a junior on the UAB roster, Taylor should be able to compete right away while maintaining two years of eligibility.
