McNeese State announced June 13 that Hicks joined the program as a transfer from Appalachian State, Steve Behr of the Watauga Democrat reports.
ANALYSIS
Hicks, a rising redshirt sophomore, gained 185 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries in six games for Applachian State in 2018 before missing the rest of the season with an unspecified injury. The running back is expected to enter the 2019 campaign at full strength and should compete for a major role for McNeese State, an FCS school.
