Dismissed from Utes program
Utah coach Kyle Whittingham announced Feb. 21 that Perriman (suspension) has been dismissed from the football program, Josh Newman of The Salt Lake Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
Utah suspended Perriman indefinitely after he was arrested Jan. 30 for the alleged rape of a 17-year-old girl. As Perriman moved through the legal process, Utah was made aware of additional charges against the receiver that led to Whittingham's decision to dismiss him. According to Josh Furlong of KSL.com, Perriman is currently facing eight felony charges; three counts of rape, two counts of forcible sodomy, and one count each of burglary, forcible sexual abuse and aggravated kidnapping. Perriman is next due back in court again June 22.
