No longer with program
Undisclosed
November 11, 2020
Florida State head coach Mike Norvell said Wednesday that Terry is no longer with the Seminoles football program, Matt Baker of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
ANALYSIS
Norvell didn't offer any further details on Terry's departure, but his absence the rest of the season looms large, as he was the program's best receiver in some time. Ontaria Wilson and Keyshawn Helton should see the most targets moving forward with Terry gone. The redshirt junior finishes 2020 with 23 receptions for 289 yards and a touchdown on 40 targets. Terry hasn't officially announced his plans for next year, but he's expected to enter the 2021 NFL Draft rather than looking to transfer to another school.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2020
2019
Appropriately nicknamed "Scary Terry", Terry has been the lone bright spot in the 'Noles passing attack in consecutive seasons. An elite vertical threat with size and speed to spare, Terry has scored 17 times in the last two years while averaging 20.4 ypc in the process. The downfall for Terry has been irratic quarterback play that's lead to just a 52.5 percent catch rate on 181 targets. The return of likely starting quarterback James Blackmon may not inspire confidence, but there's room for guarded optimism with the 'Noles offense under new head coach Mike Norvell, whose Memphis' offenses always seemed to coach up their quarterbacks to better numbers than talent would suggest, and always had a thriving outside receiver. Terry is a known commodity who may be able to find some additional consistency in 2020.
The lone bright spot in Florida State's offense in 2018 was Terry, a freshman with a relatively modest recruiting pedigree (three-star) by FSU's standards who managed to make an instant impact. He caught 35 passes for 744 yards (21.3 YPR) and eight touchdowns. He accounted for 23 percent of the team's receiving yards despite having just 18 percent of the team's targets. With Nyqwan Murray gone, Terry steps into a clear No.1 role for a Seminoles offense that almost has to improve by default after a dreadful 2018.
