Bryce Roberts
Transfers to Oklahoma
Roberts transferred from Oklahoma to New Mexico State earlier in the offseason and has changed positions from tight end to offensive line.
ANALYSIS
As a sophomore with the Aggies in 2018, Roberts started in seven of 12 games and caught 10 passes for 76 yards and a touchdown before leaving the program. Given that New Mexico State coach Doug Martin's offense effectively eliminated the tight-end position this spring, Roberts likely would have struggled to make an impact in the box score even if he had stuck around with the Aggies. He'll have to sit out the upcoming season at Oklahoma, which should provide him with ample time to gain weight and learn the intricacies of offensive line. He'll have two seasons of eligibility left beginning in 2020.
