Suffers torn Achilles
Achilles
July 5, 2020
Dauphine will miss the entire 2020 season after tearing his Achilles' tendon Sunday, Guerry Smith of The New Orleans Advocate reports.
ANALYSIS
The NCAA granted Dauphine a sixth season of eligibility in March, but the ill-timed injury will now likely end the redshirt senior's college career. Across 12 contests in 2019, he logged 72 carries for 575 yards and seven scores, so his absence for the entire 2020 season is a major blow for Tulane. The Green Wave at least have ample depth at running back to fall back on, with the likes of Amare Jones, Tyjae Spears, Ygenio Booke, Stephon Huderson and Cameron Carroll expected to vie for increased roles in the wake of Dauphine's injury.

2019 Fantasy Outlook
Not much is set to change for the status quo of Tulane's backfield from last season, as both Dauphine and starter Darius Bradwell return from rushing for a combined 1,919 yards and 18 touchdowns. Even as the backup last year, Dauphine still broke the century mark three times and found the end zone multiple times on three different occasions. Unless he eats into Bradwell's touches, his ceiling will be limited, but he'll be eager to leave his mark in his final season at school as a redshirt senior.
