Past Fantasy Outlooks
2018
2017
Hornibrook may have been a liability under center in his first year on campus in 2016, but he took a major step on that front in his second term. As a sophomore, the southpaw completed 62.3 percent of his pass attempts, also ranking 19th nationally with 8.3 yards per attempt on the season. Turnovers were Hornibrooks biggest bugaboo in 2017. In conference play, he posted just a 13:14 TD:INT ratio, with a completion percentage dipping to 58.9. He has nearly the entire offense returning from a season ago, Hornibrook should be in a good position to take another step forward as a junior in 2018. However, his mettle will be tested with most of Wisconsin's bigger contests coming on the road in 2018.
After redshirting in 2015, Hornibrook made his Wisconsin debut last season. He initially fell behind senior Bart Houston, but eventually earned the starting gig after Houston struggled. His own inconsistencies -- coupled with a head injury -- resulted in coach Paul Chryst employing a two-quarterback system the rest of the way. Following Houston's graduation, Hornibrook is expected to take the permanent reins under center entering 2017 and will attempt to improve on the 9:7 TD:INT ratio he posted last year. Given Wisconsin's loaded backfield and unproven passing game, Hornibrook may mainly serve as a game-manager for the Badgers this season.
