Solid in final collegiate effort
December 28, 2017
Wadley ran 22 times for 88 yards and a touchdown and added two catches for 24 yards during Wednesday's Pinstripe Bowl against Boston College.
ANALYSIS
The weather was a huge impediment for both offenses in the contest, leaving the teams mostly one-dimensional on the day. Wadley made the most of his opportunities, adding 171 yards worth of return yardage in addition to his efforts on offense. With his college career now officially behind him, Wadley will now set his sights on the NFL draft.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2017
2016
Wadley (5-11, 191) has been Iowa's best playmaker on a per-play basis for three seasons, but he's always been buried behind bigger and more experienced backs. This year will be different as Wadley is now the top back in an offense breaking in a new quarterback. He led the team in rushing with 1,081 yards despite seeing 45 fewer carries than his since-graduated backfield counterpart, LeShun Daniels. Now that Wadley will be turned loose as Iowa's top offensive weapon, look for him to push for the top 10 at his position.
Wadley was occasionally lost in the shuffle last season with Iowa leaning on a stable of different backs to carry the load. However, when Wadley was given a chance, he proved to be the Hawkeyes’ most explosive big play threat. He finished second on the team among running backs in yards per carry, averaging 6.0 YPC over 83 carries while Derrick Mitchell earned a slight edge at 6.2 but he had significantly fewer carries (26). Wadley truly made a name for himself in Iowa’s blowout win over Northwestern when Jordan Canzeri went down with an ankle injury, taking 26 carries for 204 yards and four scores. LeShun Daniels’ seniority will likely give him the edge in terms of workload early in the season, but Wadley’s explosive playmaking potential should earn him a prominent role in the offense in due time.
