Sees action in MAC title game
December 2, 2017
Woodson went 5-for-14 for 35 yards with an interception, along with six rushing yards, against Toledo in Saturday's MAC Championship Game.
ANALYSIS
Woodson saw some action in the second quarter, as he rotated with Kato Nelson. But it was an uninspiring return from a two-game suspension, and Woodson should assume backup duties in Akron's bowl game.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2016
2015
Woodson's skill set is limited as a passer – he began last year as Akron's third-string QB and only completed 52.8 percent of his passes – but he showed just enough playmaking knack to find the end zone at an encouraging rate (16 touchdowns on 307 passes), and the rushing skills he otherwise displayed give his fantasy value both a high floor and a noteworthy ceiling if his passing abilities should progress. Woodson ran for 591 yards (4.4 YPC) and three touchdowns on 135 carries, and at around 240 pounds, he should be able to withstand the beating that entails. He has two fine receivers in Jerome Lane and Jojo Natson, so the possibility of Woodson's passing production improving shouldn't be ruled out.
