2020 Tournament PreviewDuke lost three of its last four games in February but recovered in March. The roster is as loaded as ever with five-star talent. It starts with 6-10 center Vernon Carey Jr. (17.6 ppg, 8.8 rpg, 1.6 bpg), the top freshman in KenPom's Player of the Year standings. Carey is joined by trio of fellow freshman in 6-6 forward Wendell Moore Jr. (7.5 ppg, 4.1 rpg), 6-9 forward Matthew Hurt (10.2 ppg, 3.9 rpg, 39.3 3pt%) and the high-flying Cassius Stanley (12.1 ppg, 4.8 rpg), a 6-6 guard. Sophomore point guard Tre Jones (16.1 ppg, 6.3 apg), who was second in the ACC in assists per game, brings Elite Eight experience. Duke ranks 11th in offensive efficiency (per KenPom) despite shooting 34.8 percent from beyond the arc. But the Blue Devils get plenty of second-chance points, ranking 12th in offensive rebounding rate (33.7 percent). Duke's height - 19th tallest in the nation - helps on the defensive end too, as the team is 10th in defensive efficiency. Duke has the talent to make a deep run as long as its inexperience doesn't get in the way.
