Denied additional eligibility

November 3, 2023
Williams (eligibility) has been denied an NCAA eligibility waiver for the 2023-24 season, Jason Munz of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
ANALYSIS
Williams' collegiate career will come to a close as the senior forward has expended his collegiate eligibility. The 6-foot-9 senior started in all 35 games last season, averaging 17.7 points, 8.2 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.9 blocks on 31 minutes per game. Williams was an integral part of the Tigers' program for the last three years and the eligibility decision is a sizable blow to the program. In the wake of the news, Jordan Brown is expected to start for Memphis this season.
