Drops 32 to keep DePaul alive
GDePaul
April 4, 2019
Strus led the Blue Demons with 32 points (11-14 FG, 1-2 3 Pt, 5-8 FT) to go along with three rebounds and two assists across 45 minutes in Wednesday's 100-96 victory over South Florida.
ANALYSIS
Strus and the Blue Demons gave up an 11-point first half lead, but were able to prevail in the overtime period. Injuries in the backcourt are starting to pile up for DePaul, as Eli Cain was limited to 13 minutes due to a wrist injury, and both Jalen Coleman-Lands and Devin Gage remain out indefinitely. This has allowed Lyrik Shreiner and Flynn Cameron to see plenty of extra run, but most of the scoring burden has fallen on Strus. Look for the senior to put up plenty of shots in Friday's CBI Championship game.
