Omer Yurtseven

Beginning professional career

Yurtseven said Monday that he'll forgo a redshirt senior at Georgetown in 2020-21 and enter the 2020 NBA Draft, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Yurtseven could have appealed the NCAA for a waiver after he played only three seasons of college basketball -- he sat out the 2018-19 campaign after transferring from North Carolina State and Georgetown -- but the seven-foot center decided it was in his best interest to get his professional career started, even though he doesn't profile as a surefire NBA draft pick. He at least ended his college career on a high note, averaging 15.5 points, 9.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks across 27.3 minutes per game during his lone active season with the Hoyas.
