Texas Tech coach Chris Beard said Monday that Corprew (suspension) won't return to Texas Tech in 2019-20 and will instead pursue transfer opportunities elsewhere, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports
Texas Tech suspended Corprew indefinitely back in late June after assault allegations were filed against him. A resolution to the forward's legal situation has yet to emerge, but Corprew will apparently look to move to another program rather than await reinstatement from the suspension. A key role player for the Red Raiders in their run to the NCAA title game, Corprew averaged 5.0 points and 3.3 rebounds in 13.5 minutes per game last season. The incoming redshirt junior should draw plenty of interest from other Division I schools but would likely have to sit out the 2019-20 campaign at his next stop unless the NCAA extends him a waiver.
