GuardG
Signs with agent, intends to go pro
GSt. John's
April 17, 2019
Ponds has signed with an agent and intends to turn pro, Zach Braziller of the New York Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Ponds announced his intention to enter the 2019 NBA Draft in late March and now looks on track to stay in the pool after signing with an agency that is just spreading into basketball. Assuming he stays in the draft, the Red Storm will need to replace a gaping hole in the backcourt, losing Ponds' 19.7 points, 5.1 assists 4.1 rebounds, and 2.6 steals per game. He's far from a guarantee to be drafted, but Ponds should find work playing professionally somewhere.
