DraftKings College Basketball: Saturday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings College Basketball series.

Welcome to our coverage of the NCAA Tournament on DraftKings. This article will guide you on the best way to allot your $50,000 salary.

Here's a look at the included games:

Wichita State vs. Miami
Yale vs. Duke
Indiana vs. Kentucky
Arkansas Little Rock vs. Iowa State
Butler vs. Virginia
Connecticut v. Kansas
Gonzaga vs. Utah
Providence vs. North Carolina

Guards

Robert Johnson, Indiana vs. Kentucky ($4,700): Johnson returned for his first game in a month in the first round against Chattanooga -- good timing, right? Prior to the injury Johnson was a solid 30 minute/20 fantasy point guy. This is a pretty good price for him as he should trend back toward his normal minute allotment after seeing just 24 minutes Thursday.

Jalen Lindsey, Providence vs. North Carolina ($4,300):
Anytime you get a player seeing the court for nearly 40 minutes at this price, you have to think he's in a good spot to reach value. Lindsey doesn't pick up many counting stats outside of the buckets he can make, so making some 3's is imperative. Good news is, if the Friars are to take down North Carolina, shooting the 3 will be a big part of that. Earlier this month Lindsey made six 3-pointers on his way to 30 points and 42.5 fantasy points.

Nick Victor, Yale vs. Duke ($5,600):
Victor is a guard, yet does most of his damage on the glass. Foul trouble, which if he guards Grayson Allen, could raise it's ugly head, but otherwise he plays 38-plus minutes and is very much capable of double-doubles (he had 12 points and 12 rebounds in his regular season finale against Columbia). It's worth mentioning Duke posses the worst defensive efficiency of anyone on Saturday's eight game card.

Malcolm Brogdon, Virginia vs. Butler ($8,100):
Butler ranks just slightly better than the aforementioned Duke in terms of defensive efficiency, and Brogdon won both player and defensive player of the year in the ACC -- quickly proving to be the top conference in the nation with ACC's performance in the tournament so far. According to Kenpom.com's Player of the Year Standings (a stats-based summation of a player's ability and performance), Brogdon ranks above Buddy Hield, Brice Johnson, Denzel Valentine and (interestingly after last night's results) the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks' Thomas Walkup.

Other guards:
Grayson Allen, Duke vs. Yale ($10,000); Monte Morris, Iowa State vs. Arkansas-Little Rock ($9,000); Daniel Hamilton, UConn vs. Kansas ($8,800); Makai Mason, Yale vs. Duke ($6,800); Devonte Graham, Kansas vs. UConn ($6,400); Brandon Taylor, Utah vs. Gonazaga ($6,000); Lorenzo Bonam, Utah vs. Gonzaga ($5,800); Marcus Johnson Jr., Arkansas-Little Rock vs. Iowa State ($5,400)

Forwards:

Justin Sears, Yale vs. Duke ($8,300): Duke is poor on the glass and at guarding big men. Yale is very good on the glass, and Sears is a very talented big man. Sears got into some foul trouble in the first round (still managed 28 fantasy points), but in the first matchup between these teams (where Amile Jefferson was still playing for Duke) Sears scored 38 fantasy points.

Roger Woods, Arkansas-Little Rock vs. Iowa State ($5,000):
ISU plays a quick pace accompanied by porous defense and poor rebounding. Despite being just 6-foot-5, Woods' 220-pound frame puts him at the 4 position most of the time. Throughout the season his minutes and contributions to the offense rose (scoring double-digits in seven of his last eight) while being a strong part of Little Rock's press (leading to multiple steals in three of his last four). Woods isn't typically a huge part of the offensive game plan, but a 30-point game earlier in the month shows he's more than capable of contributing there on the right day.

Kyle Wiltjer, Gonzaga vs. Utah ($8,300):
In his Senior year in which he was projected to lead the Zags and be among the nation's top scorers, Wiltjer has given way to younger teammate Domantas Sabonis, who has captured the spotlight. However, Utah has possibly the best 5 in college basketball in Jakob Poeltl, setting up for a blood bath between the teams' centers. This leaves, as it often has for Utah, Wiltjer in a good place to exploit the Utes from the power forward position -- a position they've been prone at defensively all season.

Other forwards:
Brandon Sherrod, Yale vs. Duke ($6,000); Jordan Loveridge, Utah vs. Gonzaga ($5,500); Troy Williams, Indian vs. Kentucky ($7,100); Alex Poythress, Kentucky v. Indiana ($5,900); Isaiah Hicks, North Carolina vs. Providence ($4,900); Amida Brimah, UConn vs. Kansas ($4,800); Isaiah Wilkins, Virginia vs. Butler ($4,800); Lis Shoshi, Arkansas-Little Rock vs. Iowa Statee ($4,700); Carlton Bragg Jr., UConn vs. Kansas ($3,200)
