Training Camp Notes

-The biggest news of the day was the report that rookie Montario Hardesty is done for the season with a torn ACL.  He's now going to have the "injury prone" tag going forward.  Obviously this is a boost to Jerome Harrison's value but don't forget about James Davis.  The Browns were pretty high on him last year before he went on IR and this is a guy that shared carries with C.J. Spiller in college.  Davis is a darkhorse and by no means run out and pick him up.  But keep an eye on how he's used in Week 1.

-LenDale White tore his Achilles' and will also miss the 2010 season.  The best case scenario for him was to steal some goal line carries from Knowshon Moreno or Correll Buckhalter.  I'm pretty sure Quentin Griffin is available if the Broncos are looking for some RB depth.

-Dennis Dixon or possibly Charlie Batch will open as the Steelers starting QB with Bryon Leftwich out with a second-degree MCL strain.  Dixon is an interesting player; he reminds of a Vince Young-lite type of player.  In other Steelers news, Ben Roethlisberger had his suspension reduced from six to four games.

-Neil Rackers has beaten Kris Brown for the Texans starting kicking.  He should be a solid scoring option with the high powered Houston offense.

-Both Jeremiah Johnson (dislocated toe) and Steve Slaton (turf toe) may miss Week 1.  Chris Henry would back up Arian Foster who will be very busy to start the season.

-The Seattle Times is reporting that T.J. Houshmandzadeh are past coming to a reconciliation and the Hawks are shopping him to other teams.  Bump up Mike WilliamsDeion Branch and expect the Vincent Jackson trade talks to start back up should Housh get moved.
