David Lee's Crazy Stat Line

Last night Lee scored 37 points, pulled down 20 rebounds and handed out 10 assists. Upon seeing that, I immediately wondered when the last 30-20-10 triple double had happened. It turns out 1976 - when Kareem Abdul-Jabbar went 35-20-12.

That means Lee just put up a line that neither LeBron James, Kevin Garnett, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson nor Jason Kidd ever did. And Kareem scored 35 during his - I wonder when the last 37-20-10 line happened - probably need to go back to Wilt Chamberlain for that.

Of course, it happened against the current incarnation of the Warriors, and in a loss, so aside from the uniqueness of it, there's no special meaning to the performance.
