It's Better To Be Lucky Than Good

In my home league this week, I had a tough decision to make about Chipper Jones. He had a hyper-extended right elbow, and in his case, you always want to err on the side of caution. My other option was Ian Stewart who's not even playing every day, but I figured I'd move Stewart in, expecting some bad news on Jones to come out Monday. If no bad news came out, then I'd switch Jones back in.

The news on Jones turned out to be pretty good on Monday - likely just to miss one game, but for some reason I forgot to swap Jones back into the lineup. So you can imagine my self-disgust when I saw that Jones went 2-for-4 with a stolen base today. But when I saw that Stewart hit two home runs today, my disgust turned to joy.

How many people would have the vision to activate Stewart precisely at the right time? Sometimes it's not me playing fantasy baseball, but the Lord playing through me.
