Torry Holt Released

The Rams released Holt today. I didn't know until I read the AP article that his per game average of 80.1 yards was the best in NFL history. Jerry Rice, (I just looked up) was 75.6, Marvin Harrison 76.7.

Holt's only 32 years old, not at all old for a receiver. I think, so long as his knee holds up, he could be an excellent No. 2 possession receiver. I'd love to see the Giants sign him to replace Amani Toomer, and then worry about the Plaxico Burress/No. 1 issue separately.

Also, when's the last time two first ballot Hall of Famers (Orlando Pace) got released in the same week by the same team to so little fanfare?
