Dalton Del Don's Foolish LABR Weekend Bets

The last two years, Dalton and I have gone to LABR together, (I draft our AL team, he does the NL). Over the course of weekend, we inevitably end up making some bets. (Last year I netted out $30 despite him winning a $50 bet for picking Tim Lincecum as his NL Cy Young sleeper).

This year, we made the following wagers:

  • $20 at 3:1 on the Cavaliers to win the NBA Championship vs. the Field. (Dalton has the Cavs).
  • $10 on Matt Cain vs. Carlos Zambrano (total fantasy value) (I have Zambrano)
  • $5 Plaxico Burress vs. Brandon Marshall (I have Burress)
  • $10 Soriano's HRs vs. the square root of Albert Pujols' OPS. (Pujols must play 145 games) (I have Soriano)
  • $20 Randy Johnson vs. Chien-Ming Wang (I have Wang who I bought for $11 at LABR. Dalton bought Johnson for $12).
  • $20 at 3:1 Maurice Jones-Drew vs. LaDainian Tomlinson total fantasy value. (I have Tomlinson at 3:1).

Incidentally, my sleeper pick for NL CY last year: Rich Hill. (I'm just glad we made it all or nothing and didn't index it to margin of victory).
