The Jerry Rice of Assists

On Sunday, Jason Kidd became the fourth player in NBA history to amass 10,000 assists for his career. He trails Magic Johnson and Mark Jackson by a few hundred, and if he plays next year, he'll almost certainly overtake both to pull into second place. First place is John Stockton with 15,806. Kidd's only 63 percent of the way there.
