FanDuel NBA: Monday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Monday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

With all but one series still to be decided in the first round of the NBA playoffs, Monday brings a pair of Game 4's with the Rockets against the Timberwolves and the Thunder against the Jazz. There aren't a ton of options on FanDuel with only two games on the schedule, but here are some players to consider to hopefully create a winning entry.

Guards

Donovan Mitchell, UTA vs. OKC ($8,200): Mitchell hasn't been afraid of the bright lights in the playoffs, scoring at least 37.2 FanDuel points in each of the first three games. Not only is he the offensive leader for the Jazz, but he grabbed at least 10 rebounds in two of those three contests. He'll have a high usage rate again Monday, making him an excellent option for your entry.

Ricky Rubio, UTA vs. OKC ($7,400): Rubio is having an outstanding series, scoring at least 40.9 FanDuel points in all three games. Not known for his offensive prowess, Rubio has scored at least 22 points in back-to-back games and even finished with a triple-double in Game 3. It's going to be hard for him to duplicate that feat in Game 4, but he has the ball in his hands a lot and has a significant floor in DFS.

Derrick Rose, MIN vs. HOU ($3,800): Timberwolves coach Tom Thibodeau has turned to Rose, yet another familiar face from his days in Chicago, to provide a spark off the bench in this series. Rose has averaged 21 minutes per game in the playoffs, scoring at least 22.4 FanDuel points in two of the three games. His upside isn't great as he won't provide much in the way of rebounds or assists, but he's still worth considering in tournament play at this cheap price.

Forwards

Paul George, OKC at UTA ($7,900): George only scored 32.9 FanDuel points in Game 3, but that was because he only had two rebounds and three assists. He still finished the contest with 23 points and is averaging 19 shot attempts per game in the series. He had at least seven rebounds in both of the first two games, so expect him to contribute more on the boards Monday. He's not outrageously priced and should have a high enough floor to provide value.

Carmelo Anthony, OKC at UTA ($5,600): Anthony is not having a great series offensively, shooting just 41.2% from the field. He may be their third scoring option behind George and Russell Westbrook, but the Thunder still rely on him heavily based on their lack of depth on the roster. He'll get plenty of playing time again in Game 4, leaving him as someone to consider for your entry.

Corey Brewer, OKC at UTA ($4,600): Brewer is another Thunder player eligible at forward that enters the discussion for Monday, scoring at least 20.1 FanDuel points in each game of this series. He's not going to get many shot attempts, but the Thunder need his defense and don't have many great options behind him. With cost-effective players that have value hard to come by in such a small slate, Brewer's minutes floor makes him a viable option.

Centers

Rudy Gobert, UTA vs. OKC ($8,100): The Jazz's size up front has given the Thunder problems in this series. Gobert continues to be their anchor in the middle, scoring at least 40.4 FanDuel points in back-to-back games. Gobert doesn't always need to score a lot to provide value, averaging 11.3 rebounds, two blocks and one steal per contest. Look for him to have another big performance as the Jazz look to take a commanding 3-1 series lead Monday.

Steven Adams, OKC at UTA ($6,100): Adams has been in foul trouble the last two games, limiting him to no more than 26 minutes in either contest. It's no coincidence that the Thunder lost both of those games since they don't have another quality center behind Adams. His production has been limited as a result, but he has upside if he can stay out of foul trouble and is likely the best option if you want to save money at center Monday.
