FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Sunday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Guards:

Chris Paul, HOU at MIN ($8,000): Paul has been up and down all season with James Harden having an MVP campaign, but he's too good to be priced at $8,000. His projected performance of nearly 40 fantasy points is the main reason why, as that already makes him a great bet to exceed 5X value. That doesn't even consider this superb matchup, as he faces a Minnesota defense that ranks 26th in defensive efficiency. On the season, Paul is averaging just two fantasy points per game less than Damian Lillard and costs nearly $2,000 cheaper.

Lou Williams, LAC vs. POR ($7,200): Williams is having the best season of his career right now and he's scored at least 27 fantasy points in 34 of his last 35 games. He's been extremely reliable, averaging just shy of 40 fantasy points during that 35-game stretch. Portland is not a defense to fear either, as Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum are both average defenders at best based on efficiency ratings.

Rajon Rondo, NOP vs. BOS ($6,200): Rondo sat out the loss on Saturday to the Houston Rockets to be fully prepared for this matchup and he should have success against one of the most beat-up backcourts in the NBA. Not only are Jaylen Brown and Kyrie Irving both injured, Marcus Smart is out as well. That means Rondo should feast against the Celtics B-unit, especially considering he's in one of the best stretches of his season right now. In fact, as he's averaging 32 fantasy points per game in his last 18 outings, averaging 11.0 assists a game since the break.

Forwards:

Anthony Davis, NOP vs. BOS ($12,400): It's hard to overlook what Davis is doing right now, as he's arguably in the midst of the best stretch from any player all season long. Davis is actually averaging nearly 70 fantasy points per game since DeMarcus Cousins went down and he's reached that total in seven of his last 14 games. Boston is a defense worth exploiting right now too, considering they allow nearly 20 points and 10 rebounds per game to opposing power forwards, ranking bottom-10 in the league.

Marcus Morris, BOS at NOP ($6,300): Morris is one of the players worth using because of all the injuries in Boston and he's been putting up some very impressive numbers of late. Not only has he reached at least 26 fantasy points in six of his last eight games, he's also averaging close to 30 fantasy points per game in his last nine outings. New Orleans is a great matchup for power forwards as well, as they allow the sixth-most fantasy points to the position for the season.

Trevor Ariza, HOU at MIN ($4,900): Ariza has been slow to bounce back after missing multiple games due to injury, but he's too valuable of a player to be priced below $5,000. The main indication of that is the fact that he's averaging 24 fantasy points per game, which traditionally has made him a $6,000 player throughout his career. That pairs nicely with this matchup, as the T'Wolves rank 26th in total defense this year. With Jimmy Butler and Danilo Gallinari sidelined, Ariza is a nice fill-in to get 5X value at such a shallow position in a limited slate.

Centers:

Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN vs. HOU ($10,400): In such a small slate, it's a great idea to go with the top option at a center position where you can use only one player. The main reason for that is the fact that you can't miss out on the one center who goes off and Towns is the only guy priced above $8,500. He's posted at least 55 fantasy points in four of his last six games, which shows how well he's played of late. Towns absolutely obliterated the Rockets so far this season too, averaging over 55 fantasy points in three games against them this season.
