Timberwolves Come Out On Top In Phoenix
The Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the host Phoenix Suns, 126-109, in Game 3 of the Western Conference First-Round Playoffs at Footprint Center on Friday evening.

The game got out to a competitive start but the Timberwolves led for most of the first quarter and held a two-point edge entering the second. They kept control in the second and despite a couple of ties, never trailed in the quarter on the way to a six-point advantage at the break. The Suns fell apart in the third and were outscored by 16 points in the quarter, making it a 22-point game approaching the final quarter. The hosts turned up their effort in the fourth but it was not enough as the Timberwolves cruised to the, 3-0, series lead.

Anthony Edwards led the Timberwolves with 36 points, nine rebounds, five assists and two steals, in 43 minutes. Rudy Gobert followed up with 19 points, 14 rebounds and a steal, while Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 18 points, 13 rebounds and two assists.

Meanwhile, Bradley Beal led the Suns with 28 points, four rebounds and four assists, in 43 minutes. Kevin Durant followed up with 25 points, four rebounds and five assists, while Devin Booker totaled 23 points, three rebounds, eight assists and two steals.

Game 4 is scheduled for Sunday in Phoenix.
