Closer Watch

Red Sox – Koji's back, back again. Koji's back, tell your friends. That's right, folks, Koji Uehara's hamstring is feeling fine, so the 40-year-old closer is ready to reclaim his job. Edward Mujica becomes instantly near-worthless in leagues that don't count holds unless you're a certified save speculator.

RockiesLaTroy Hawkins has already lost his job, and it was Rafael Betancourt who got the first crack at replacing him Monday. Betancourt delivered two strikeouts en route to a perfect inning and the save, but he'll be sharing the role with Adam Ottavino for a little while at least.

MetsJeurys Familia netted his second save Monday, and it looks like he's got a pretty good hold on the job right now, but Bobby Parnell (Tommy John surgery) and Vic Black (shoulder) are both on their way back and could quite reasonably factor into the mix if healthy.

RaysBrad Boxberger had few problems en route to his third save Monday, working around a walk in a scoreless ninth. He had one bad outing, but has nonetheless struck out seven batters in 4.1 innings and is looking like a legitimate threat to keep the job away from Jake McGee (elbow) even when the Rays' projected closer makes his return from the disabled list.

Recommended Pickup
Mark Canha, 1B, OAK – A Rule 5 pick, Canha came into the season with low expectations, but after sitting out Opening Day, he's been given full-time at-bats – seeing starts at first base and left field – and he's been rolling with it. Canha's got hits in all six games he's played in this season, and he's collected a .367 average, a homer and seven RBI so far. He's a 26-year-old rookie, so this isn't a freak-out-and-grab-him moment, but it's well worth noting that Canha racked up a .303/.384/.505 line with 20 homers for Triple-A New Orleans in the Marlins organization last year. There's a legit bat here, and the fact that he's hitting high up in the lineup certainly counts for something.

Other Recent Recommendations:Kevin Kiermaier, Stephen Vogt, Miguel Castro, Jake Lamb, Joe Panik

DraftKings Value Picks

SP: Daniel Norris, TOR ($5,600)
C: Travis d'Arnaud, NYM ($3,800)
1B: Lucas Duda, NYM ($4,400)
2B: Jose Ramirez, CLE ($3,200)
3B: Jake Lamb, ARI ($3,600)
SS: Tim Beckham, TB ($3,100)
OF: Billy Hamilton, CIN ($4,300)
